FINAL PROJECT

WEEK 11 | 08.10.18

For our final project we were asked to pick a short narrative and create an interactive Web Comic or a Tunnel book. I chose the Interactive web comic (parallax). I chose a story I first considered for my project 2, Elenora by Edgar Allen Po. I read the story and wrote down a story board and started looking for inspirations on choosing my art style.

WEEK 12 | Illustration Process

After the sketches were approved by Mr.Hafiz, I started the illustration process on Adobe Illustration. I wanted to try a different style so I used mostly solid colors and shapes with less or no details. I took a risk as I wanted to explore more and challenge myself if I can make art style like this work as I have always like Vector art.

WEEK 13 | Illustration Process

I showed the illustrations to Mr.Kannan and Mr.Hafiz, they both suggested adding more details to narrate the story well. They both said that the first few scenes were good and story is there however, when the woman dies that area is bit less shown and so I added two more panels.

WEEK 14 | Progress

After adding extra panels I took all my works from AI to Photoshop and started the process of adding a few details. However, it did not quiet work well with my idea so I settled in for a simple look with some gradient of noise to add extra depth to the illustrations. Meanwhile I took my first panel and tried if it works well with the dimensions and to see if it looks good.

WEEK 15 | Final Touchups and Madefire

After adding details to all the panels, I showed the final panels to Mr.Hafiz and Mr.Kannan. Mr.Hafiz said it was better than before and that its okay to be taken to Madefire, Mr.Kannan however suggested adding more transition and building the story by adding more expression or body language when the guy is at loss to what he had before. So I added another panel of the woman's grave, bringing in scene to scene.
