INSTRUCTIONS

WORK

Week 2
This week we got into our groups and finished a User experience and Journey Map.

TASK 2: User Experience Journey map

User Journey Map: Grab App

User Flow for ESPL Website
Week 3
We started filtering out the content and also coming up with possible solutions we can propose,by doing a SWOT analysis. We also developed questions for the survey.

TASK 1: Exercise (Group Presentation)

Week 4
This week we finished our survey questions and sent it out.  Our target was to reach as many esports players we can and narrow our interview target.

Week 5
We conducted interviews throughout week 4 and week 5 and we complied all the data from the interview in the following document. After getting the data we filtered out important findings and developed our user personas.

Notes taken Before and After Research

After the research we started developing our 3 personas.

Card Sorting

Week 8 (25.05.2020)
This week we worked on our flowchart.

Week 9 (1.06.2020)
After completing the wireframes, we did another round of flowchart, below is our second attempt at creating the flow chart.

Week 10 (8.06.2020)
This week we worked on developing a moodpboard and finishing our first wireframes.
Initial Wireframe (Some Pages)

Week 11 (15.06.2020)
We compiled a moodpboard this week.

Week 12 (22.06.2020)
Low fidelity prototypes are being developed and completed this week and user testing scheduled for next week.

Low Fidelity Used for user testing

Week 13 (29.06.2020)
This week we started our user testing after finishing our Low fidelity prototype on XD. Since we had already created the wireframe on Miro, we decided to add minor styling to the Xd file which will be used for user testing, ignorer to get more feedback on the design as well.

Below is our user testing results.

Week 14 (6.07.2020)
This week we used our User testing and complied our findings on miro and considered which suggestions to take and started noting down the changes we need to make and the possible new layouts. We brainstormed and handed tasks for each other. I was uncharge of:
- Creating new filter and search page
- Adding more details into the tournament finder
- Changing homepage layout a little, by adding the news for trending now section and create news pages as well as changing the shape of the highlights pages and also creating a landscape page for the highlights video
- Leaderboard also had minor change of adding what depicted their ranking.

We continued working on our high-fidelity prototype. While Azmina and I made the changes in the page wireframes and layouts, Yameen implemented the final style, which we would be implementing during our final layouts. I took charge of my sections again: Log in screens, Homepage, Tournament Finder and Team Finder as well. I did get help from Yameen to complete team finder. Below are my works. While I did the tournament finder new pages, Yameen and Azmina finished off the changes in the flow chart.

Week 15 (13.07.2020)
We started adding finishing touches to the high-fidelity prototype design. I took charge of log in screens, homepage and Tournament Finder. We also made the necessary changes to the wireframes:
Final Wireframes (Few Pages)

Week 16 (20.07.2020)

This week we finished up all our content and exported the final high Fidelity Prototype. For our final pitch, we added the user flow and the notable changes from our initial design to that of what it is now. Below are the final outcomes.

FEEDBACKS

Week 6:

Feedback on the proposal presentation

Overall, proactive and defined the problem clearly.

Content: Evident of data findings are presented and comprehensive. Comprehensive data findings. All the contents are clear, detail and extensive. In depth findings when conducting the interview. Problem statement is clear. Project goal is identified and well defined. User persona well created. Well constructed User Journey Map.

Week 14:
"The design itself is actually one of the prettier ones we have seen today and the content is well organised. Although there is a lot of content, the arrangement is simple and clean. Good job! it certainly can improve in some areas, however the work is done well."

REFLECTIONS

EXPERIENCE
This module at the start was not my cup of tea. Coming across another game related module, I was quiet disappointed, however as the weeks went by, I started getting used to the work we were doing and it was interesting seeing the process. As I understood more about the module is became a bit more interesting. The overall experience for this module could have been much better if we were able to conduct classes physically. I felt lost most of the time during this module, and this might be partly because we were unsure of how our progress should be going and we were not able to see how other groups were progressing.

OBSERVATIONS
One thing interesting I noticed was that, being all graphic students in our groups, our skill sets were same and ideas were very interconnected and it was easy to work with them, however a disadvantage for us was that we had very little knowledge about new media, this made our level of knowledge on app development very little. Our progress was therefore was behind them, however, we were on same level as other students.

FINDINGS
Personally I feel like the module could have been arranged much better as our group mostly was lost and an outing of how process should have been before hand we could have done better and saved more time. Despite every obstacle we faced, I have a new found respect for games app developers. I also did love the high hi fidelity app development process and wireframes were fun as well. This module certainly has changed my views on game related content and app development.
