Week 1 | 24.08.2020
Our task for this week for the project at hand is to discuss and decide on our idea and start working in our proposal for the project. The module is a group based project and my team is Katarina and Felicia. We decided to focus on an age group and deliver the key Messages provided to us. Below is our project brief and also the Key messages we were to base our projects around.

Based on the brief, we were also given the key messages that we have to deliver through this project.

We chose to do an interactive website that will be engaging to kids and also include a packaging that can be bought through the website. We then started developing the content after filtering from the content given to us.

I worked on Flowchart and completed it with the help from Katarina and Information architecture was also in the process this week by Katarina.

We also started working on the primary research, by starting on the interview questions. Since our target audience is kids, we had to create a fun and interactive interview, below is our interview questions.

For this weeks progression update, we had completed the interviews over the week before and finalised our User Persona's. By this week we had the project works divided up and everyone working on things simultaneously, making sure we progress well to meet the deadline.

This week we had a slower progress however, things are still going according to the timeline as our progress has been quite fast in the first few weeks. This week I showed some drafts of bag designs and further developed, while Katarina continued working on Xd and Felicia worked on sketches for the animated gifs.

Week 9 | 19.10.2020
This week I delivered most of the packaging designs, however I do still need to work on the brochure along with the sanitiser label changes. I also worked on some Xd wireframes, it has progressed well thanks to Katarina. Felicia started working on the coloring pages sketches along with the animations.

Week 10 | 26.10.2020
All the packaging design has been finalised and Ms.Anis is very pleased with our designs and we are excited to deliver our final works. This week Felicia has delivered drafts of the animations and also coloring page 1. This week I helped Katarina in the Xd wireframes.

Week 12 | 09.11.2020
By this week, all project components have been completed with the animated gifs and website only needing final touchups. However, after Katarina tried to import gifs to Xd, it did not work that well and therefore we made the decision to move all final prototype wireframes to Figma, which sets us back, however we hope to finish on time.

Week 13 | 16.11.2020
Figma work is progressing well, and Katarina is familiar with the software and the animations are very smooth so shifting to Figma was a good choice for our final outcome.

FINAL PRESENTATION

REFLECTION
This module has been very exciting and fun. To create an exploratory work that we can collaborate with students from other specialisations, for the pandemic that is going on, was certainly a project that taught me alot. This project gave me a chance of working on a UI/UX design which was outside my specialisation, an area I am always very interested in and it gave me more exploratory options for me further work on broader projects rather than just graphics design. I learned alot from seeing how the group mates worked through the knowledge of their specialisations. This is one project I am proud to be part of. I would like to thank Ms.Anis and Ms.Madina for their very kind and fun guidance throughout the project, it really helped us stay on track and deliver good work.

FEEDBACKS

Week 1: Focus on one target group so that it would bring better outcome, its good that we focused on all audiences and came up with a system of distributing the key messages. Good start on the work.
Week 2: Focus on one target group so that it would bring better outcome, its good that we focused on all audiences. However we are advised to focus on one target audience to make sure we deliver the best outcome.
Week 3: The concept map looks good. However Ms.Anis is worried about our technical execution of the website, both lecturers are worried about our time frame and whether our idea can be executed in 14 weeks, since we have alot of components in the project. We are advices to focus on the website and less on packaging materials and Ms.Anis mentioned that it will be okay if just show an overall design of the packaging.
Week 3:  The game and animations ideas are good and interesting. Ms. Anis was pleased to see our progress going fast and she was impressed with the references we got and asked us to refer to the PO website we found as a primary reference.
Week 4:  The development is going well and Ms.Anis is very impressed with our arrangement and now believes that our idea execution won't be difficult if we maintained this level of work and progression.
Week 5:  Ms.Madina and Ms.Anis was excited to see our project and mentioned that our primary and secondary research is very well done and our. proposal is fitting to the research we have done. They mentioned that our idea is backed up with good content and our website wireframes and games are fitting to our target audience. They were also very pleased with the art direction we are going for.
Week 6:  Both lecturers were very excited by our color scheme and art direction. They loved our logo designs and said they have a tough time even choosing one design. But looking at the options she chose the third option for the logo, as she mentioned that it has a very kids style and looks very friendly. Overall very good work.
Week 7:  Storyboards were approved this week. And pointers were given to improve on few animations.
Week 8:  This week Ms.Anis mentioned to work a little faster for the animations however she is not worried about our execution since we have the storyboards done.
Week 9:  Ms.Anis was very happy with our packaging designs and said we have worked very well with our color scheme and the textures. She was also very happy with our development for the final prototype. She then gave pointers for Felicia to make gifs work simpler, after looking at the drafts of the animations.
Week 10-12:  Looked at our progression and told us to continue fishing the works and show next week our final animations for the gifs. pointers given to improve the gifs.
Week 13:  No specific feedback
Week 14:  Both lecturers were very impressed by our work, was happy to see the project executed well within 14 weeks even though the project was big. Ms.Anis was very happy with the animations and the game components and the packaging design.
Thank you Group 2! I think it's a really good idea for the project, if i had kids i would 100% ask them go to this website which is educational and fun! Good job on the execution, colors, graphics is really good. I love the gifs, considering it was first time for you to do animation. Of course there are things for the website to be revised like UX/UI, but for 14 weeks project i think its good
